At 6pm on 7 November 2024, the Accounting Department of the UTS Business School will organise a live Sydney premiere screening of the documentary film Tax Wars.

The screening will be followed by a short presentation from a panel of experts and questions from the audience. The panel consists of Wayne Swan (Commissioner for the Independent Commission for the Reform of International Corporate Taxation and former Treasurer of Australia), Melissa Donnelly (National Secretary for the Community and Public Sector Union), Michael West (Australian independent investigative journalist) and Dr Peter Davidson (Principal Advisor for the Australian Council of Social Service).

Tax Wars is produced in association with the Independent Commission for the Reform of International Corporate Taxation (ICRICT). According to its official website, Tax Wars “tells the story of the birth, the struggle and the first victories of these knights (experts from ICRICT) of tax justice against the empire of the multinationals.”

Further information is available at the UTS website.
